OUR FAMILY
OUR MISSION
Sudden changes of environment can be very stressful for our fur-buddies. Whether it’s a family event, Holiday, or a much-needed vacation, everyone deserves to get away without worrying about our pets. Doing so can dampen or ever ruin trips. We pet owners see our pets as family and want the best for them. That’s where I come in! I will take care of your pets by feeding, walking, and socializing them. I will also maintain any medications or keep any scheduled veterinarian appointments. I encourage pet owners to have video cameras in the home to feel safe and to alert me of concerns when I’m not there. I will also post updates on our Facebook and Instagram pages and be available to provide any updates whenever you like.
QUALIFICATIONS & RECOMMENDATIONS
A Trusted Source for Animal Care
I currently have 3 dogs and 14 cats (yes I am a little over the top). I have had dogs since I was a small child and all of my adult life. I have had cats for the last several years and have fallen deeply in love with them.
In my childhood I also had pets such as hamsters, birds, turtles and fish but I will be the first to admit I am not as familiar with them as I am with cats and dogs.
I take excellent care of my pets and am able to know their behavior to see signs of sickness or injury to make sure this is treated in a timely manner. I have also had pets with severe sickness and injuries to know warning signs but also to know what to monitor in stressed out animals and what things to try and help.
I have worked with transitioning animals to new homes and helping animals feel comfortable while I am around them when they are skittish. I also have experience being able to identify boundaries being set by the animal.
I am reliable and when I have something scheduled I will make sure to be there. I also would always encourage all pet owners to have interior cameras to help watch their pets while I am gone. If there was a major concern I live in Dyersville (I work in Dubuque 2 days a week only and otherwise work from my home) and would be able to go and check on what is happening.
My animals are all seen at TriVet Associates in either Dyersville or Farley and have an excellent working relationship with the Vets on staff there. I will be working to develop a working relationship with the other vets in the area so that if your pet is sick, I am able to have open communication with your vet to make sure their needs are met as best possible.
I have had experience with administering medication both orally and with injections for my own animals in the past.
